A Healthier Meatball

Been trying to cook healthier lately…

Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef (or turkey if you swing that way)
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1 full egg
  • 1.5 cups of oats (Plain Quaker oats)
  • 1 bag of taco seasoning

What to do

  • pre-heat oven to 350
  • beat eggs together with a fork until the yolk dissolves
  • mix everything together in a bowl with your hands
  • spray muffin tin with pam
  • Kneed mixture into “a little smaller then your fist” sized balls, recipe should make 5-7 large meatballs, more for smaller ones
  • place a meatball in each muffin spot
  • bake meatballs for 20 mins at 350

I’m going to try cooking these in a red sauce on wed, will post
